Honest Phones: buy and sell phones in any condition, honestly graded
Discover our
Grading standards
Five grades, derived from eight disclosed fields. A seller cannot claim a grade the fields do not support.

Paid into escrow, not to the seller
Funds sit at Stripe until you confirm the device matches its disclosure. 72 hours to inspect. Open a dispute and the transfer freezes.

How buying works
- Step 01
Buy with payment held
Your money goes to Stripe, not the seller. Nothing is released while the device is in transit.
- Step 02
Seller ships to your door
The seller ships once your payment is safely held at Stripe. Nothing releases to them until you have confirmed the device matches its disclosure.
- Step 03
Inspect, then accept or dispute
You have 72 hours to check the device against its disclosure — screen, housing, battery, locks and water indicator. Accept and the seller is paid; open a dispute instead and the transfer freezes until it is resolved.
Why Honest Phones?
The mechanics behind every listing: structured disclosure, held funds and transparent fees, laid out plainly for buyers and sellers alike.
How grading works
Grading a seller can’t fake
The grade is derived from disclosed fields, not typed in by the seller.

Escrow, every order
Funds sit at Stripe until you confirm the device matches its disclosure. Never paid straight to the seller.
How buying works →Before it goes live
IMEI checked before publish
Every listing is checked against a blacklist before it can go live. A blacklisted device is blocked from publishing at all, not flagged after the fact.
What we list
Sell what other marketplaces won’t take
Cracked, water-damaged, locked or parts-only: this is the stock this marketplace exists for, not an exception to it. Every seller is approved before their first listing goes live, so a buyer browsing this condition tier is trusting the marketplace, not gambling on a stranger.
List a device →When sellers get paid
Paid out when the buyer accepts
Not on shipment. The transfer to your Stripe account fires the moment the buyer confirms the device matches its disclosure — usually within the 72-hour inspection window, sooner if they accept early. Open a dispute instead and the payout stays held until it is resolved.
How payouts work →What it costs
3% + 3% fees
Split evenly: 3% buyer-side, 3% seller-side, above roughly $25 (a $1.50 combined minimum applies below that).
